Hospices and care organisations
An ever increasing elderly population has led to an increase in demand for care organisations. This highly regulated industry poses a number of challenges to the sector, including pressure on fees, policies to keep the elderly in their own homes, the focus on public spending and reduced referrals due to the current policy.
As well as the annual accountancy and tax compliance work our knowledge and expertise extends to many business areas including business planning, refinancing, staffing, payroll and HR.
The recent Government White Paper, which is now the Health and Social Care Bill, promotes the joining up of local NHS services and social care and recognises that these services overlap. This will hopefully enable care organisations to deliver services funded by both the NHS and local authorities more effectively. Our team at Moore and Smalley has experience in assisting in bidding and negotiating contracts and the private care sector will be best placed to provide some of these services in the future.
For more information about the services we offer to hospices and care organisations, please contact Susanna Cassey or Christine Wilson.
