In a recent online survey conducted by MHA Moore and Smalley, Chartered Accountants and Business advisers, 58% of business owners and professionals said that they did not feel ready for Making Tax Digital.

The new regulation around the digitalisation of tax will affect businesses with turnover above the VAT threshold (£85,000) from April 2019. These affected businesses must ensure that the software they are using to file their returns is Making Tax Digital compatible.

With only seven months left to prepare for the new regime, MHA Moore and Smalley strongly advises businesses to begin seeking professional advice and support so that they are prepared for the change.
