Why did you choose a training opportunity/career with MHA Moore and Smalley?
I had already heard of MHA Moore and Smalley when I did my high school work experience here at the age of 14. When I finished my degree in Mathematics I knew I wanted to continue to work with numbers in some way and remembered how welcome they had made me and how much I had enjoyed my time there.
Can you describe your job role on a day to day basis?
As a Private Client Manager my role is to ensure client needs are met and to deliver a bespoke, high level service to our Private Clients. This involves communicating between different departments within the firm, as well as with the client, to arrange regular meetings and carry out any Financial Planning recommendations following the meetings. I am also available should the client have any queries or require assistance in between the meetings.
What do you enjoy most about working at MHA Moore and Smalley?
The people. I enjoy working with a variety of people in different roles within the firm and with our clients. I learn different things from all my colleagues and enjoy using my knowledge to help meet the needs of our clients.
How has MHA Moore and Smalley helped you?
Not only has MHA Moore and Smalley supported me in achieving a diploma in financial planning, but it has also helped to build my confidence as I have developed my role and increased my client contact. I have never felt out of my depth, particularly whilst studying for my diploma in financial planning and I have always been encouraged to progress and work just enough outside my comfort zone to allow me to grow and improve as an employee.
What are your goals for the future?
To continue to learn and develop my knowledge and to improve our Financial Planning and Private Client offering within the firm.
