Why did you choose a training opportunity/career with MHA Moore and Smalley?

I was offered an opportunity to work in a top 50 Accountancy firm, with Investor in People accreditation. At the interview I was told that I could make the job whatever I wanted it to be, the doors are open and it is up to me to make the most of it. And I did, progressing from personal tax to the special tax team, which had been my dream for a long time.

Can you describe your job role on a day to day basis?

Currently I am learning a new role in special tax while assisting in the completion of one off interesting projects in areas of business restructuring, investment reliefs e.g. EIS / SEIS, employee share incentive schemes e.g. EMI, due diligence and employer tax issues.

What do you enjoy most about working at MHA Moore and Smalley?

In one word: people. To elaborate, I appreciate the great support and vast knowledge of the colleagues I am privileged to work with. Everyone has a great sense of humour and works hard to deliver great client service. The firm is a flexible employer and has a strong focus on employee training and development.

Work-life balance is also something MHA Moore and Smalley are passionate about and as employees, we benefit from being part of the social club which is part-funded by the Partnership and there’s always something to get involved with!

How has MHA Moore and Smalley helped you?

MHA Moore and Smalley has helped me to achieve the perfect balance of a great, demanding job and family life with two little daughters enjoying their happy mum thanks to their flexible working arrangements. Everything is possible.

What are your goals for the future?

To be the best at what I do.
