Celebrating National Payroll Week 2010

National payroll week takes place every year and aims to raise awareness of the payroll profession. Taking place from 6-10 September 2010, the theme this year is ‘Proud to be Payroll’.

National Payroll Week 2010 LogoMargaret Merrifield, Payroll Services Manager at Moore and Smalley, said: “Over the past few years the role of payroll has evolved significantly into an essential business process. Once perceived by many as merely a task which simply involved writing out cheques to individuals, payroll has quickly established itself as a profession in its own right.

“National Payroll Week celebrates the important role which individuals have within the payroll process, and aims to encourage businesses to recognise the invaluable contributions of payroll professionals. Every company requires payroll and this year's National Payroll Week provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate the unsung heroes of your organisation - your payroll staff.”
