ADMINISTRATOR/RECEPTIONIST
HEALTHCARE SERVICES (BLACKPOOL)

• 25 hours per week (8:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday to Friday)
• c. £14,000 (full time equivalent salary)
• Benefits package after qualifying period (group life assurance, pension membership, private medical insurance and flexible benefits scheme)

Supporting our Healthcare Services team at Blackpool the principal duties of this role will include reception cover, database management, typing, general administration, filing and scanning.  Flexibility to work extra hours to provide reception cover for holidays and emergency cover will be required.

The successful applicant will need to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, be able to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional manner and be a good team worker.  A good standard of personal presentation, suitable for a professional office, is required.

To be considered for this position, applicants will need to possess the following:

• GCSE Grade B (minimum) English and Maths, or equivalent
• good communication skills (written and verbal)
• good time management skills
• a professional telephone manner
• a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• attention to detail

Experience of using a multi line switchboard and secretarial experience will be advantageous.

CLIENT PORTFOLIO MANAGER
HEALTHCARE SERVICES (NOTTINGHAM)

• Full time
• c. £23-27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Benefits package (group life assurance, pension membership, private medical insurance and flexible benefits scheme) after qualifying period

Supporting our Healthcare Services team at Nottingham to deliver a quality service to a range of healthcare clients, but also to a small portfolio of limited companies and sole trader clients, the principal duties of this role will be to plan and prepare client assignments to include accounts, tax, superannuation, reviews and briefing notes ready for partner/senior manager review.  You will be required to take responsibility for the co-ordination of a compliance delivery service to clients, ensuring that assignments are planned and reviewed to meet all deadlines. You will also be responsible for ensuring that assignments are adequately staffed and will be required to supervise, provide feedback and on the job training to staff working on the team’s assignments.

The successful applicant will need to be able to plan and prioritise their own workload, be able to communicate with partners, clients and colleagues in a professional manner and be a good team player, to ensure the team as a whole meets its objectives, whilst being able to identify opportunity for providing other services to our clients by the Healthcare Services team or other services provided by the firm.

To be considered for this position, applicants will ideally need to possess the following:

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or part qualification with managerial experience)
• previous experience of managing a portfolio within a practice environment
• good written and oral skills
• professional telephone manner
• good working knowledge of Microsoft office
• driving licence and a car for business use

Experience of working on medical accounts in a practice environment will be advantageous.

AAT TRAINEE ACCOUNTANTS (SUMMER 2012 INTAKE)
PRESTON, LANCASTER
Full Time

We have excellent opportunities for numerate and articulate A-Level, or equivalent, qualified individuals to train as accountants.  As part of this role, you will undertake audit and accounting assignments, working on a wide range of client businesses, combining the demands of a full time role whilst studying for the AAT qualification.

You will learn how to prepare accounts, draft tax computations and conduct audit work through a planned programme of on the job experience.  The firm will provide you with a fully funded study package and you will be guided through your training by a qualified student mentor.

The successful applicant will need to:

• have a minimum of 8 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Grade A Maths and English.
• be A-Level (or equivalent) qualified.
• have an aptitude for figures and an interest in business and commerce.
• have the commitment to study for professional examinations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be confident, have well-developed interpersonal skills and be prepared to work hard.  An A Level (or equivalent) in Accounting or a business related qualification would be desirable, but not essential.
